The plugs and receptacle are available with straight, 45°, and 90° backshells. They are offered in 9 shell sizes and 9 insert arrangements, utilizing M39029 size 20 crimp removable contacts. MIL-DTL-28840 connectors are offered in wrought aluminum as well as both corrosion resistant and stainless steel. They are also available in a wide assortment of plating options including olive drab cadmium, black cadmium, non-reflective nickel fluorocarbon polymer, black zinc nickel, zinc nickel, and pure electrodeposited aluminum.
